Original charter of the town of Marvin's Gore, Vermont, 1801.

According to the charter, the land for Marvin's Gore was granted on November 4, 1793 and the charter was issued to Ebenezer Marvin of Huntsburgh (now Franklin), Vermont on October 27, 1801. It was signed by Governor Tichenor and Roswell Hopkins, Secretary of State. Marvin's Gore was annexed to Highgate, Vermont in 1806.

The land, approximately 6,000 acres, was granted February 25, 1782 by the Vermont General Assembly.
